A few questions and answers relating to The Good Card Program.

Cardholders

The Good Card Program lets you earn cashback savings from in store and online participating businesses which you can easily share with your favourite beneficiaries.
Because spending is a necessity whilst giving is a choice but with The Good Card you can seamlessly do both.
  1. You REGISTER to be a member of The Good Card Program ($12 per year with the first year waived for our first 1000 cardholders)
  2. You apply for a Good Card Visa Prepaid Card at the same time
  3. Upon receiving your Card in the mail you ACTIVATE it from within your Good Card Online Account
  4. Whilst logged in you select up to THREE fundraisers that you want to link to your Good Card Visa Prepaid Card and proportionally allocate earned cashback between them as you see fit (you can change these whenever it suits you and even keep some for yourself)
  5. You load funds onto your Good Card Visa Prepaid Card via your regular bank
  6. You use your Good Card Visa Prepaid Card to pay for goods and services at participating businesses
  7. Our system does everything else from there which you can keep a track of within your online account
It costs $12 per year to participate as a member of The Good Card Program.

Businesses

The Good Card Program helps drive sales by linking your business to community fundraising and charity giving.
Because research shows that your business will benefit by way of incremental sales from offering a program that enables your customers to share the benefits which is precisely what The Good Card Program does.
Adding your business to The Good Card Program is very simple. All we require are some basic business details and point of sale information to connect your offer to our cardholders and fundraising capabilities. No additional hardware required, or time consuming manual processes, as The Good Card system operates through your existing in store or online payments terminal.
It costs NOTHING to add your business to The Good Card Program and you only pay out your cashback offer after a Good Card cardholder has already spent with you of which 70% can be passed on to our fundraisers.

The Good Card Program converts cashback savings into fundraising dollars to boost donations to your cause.
A new revenue stream for your cause that links an everyday activity – spending – with fundraising.

  2. We activate your fundraising page
  3. You invite your community members, friends and families to get The Good Card Visa Prepaid Card and to link your cause to it
  4. Cardholders are alerted to your cause and invited to consider linking it to their card
  5. Cardholder makes a purchase using their Good Card Visa Prepaid Card at participating business and earns a cashback saving
  6. The Good Card system recognises that your cause is linked to that specific card purchase and redeems the portion of the cashback that the cardholder has allocated to you
  7. The Good Card passes all allocated funds to your cause on a quarterly basis or when $500 has been raised

Guide to Using The Good Card Visa Prepaid Card


And some common questions relating to using our Visa Prepaid Card which should be read along with our conditions of use document as fees and charges may apply.

You select the CR button. If you press SAV or CHQ your transaction will be declined and you may be charged a fee.
You can use your card to make purchases of goods and/or services at any merchant that accepts Visa (however, individual merchants may choose not to accept certain Visa cards). This includes online, and for purchases through mail or phone. You can use your card domestically within Australia and overseas. Refer to the Conditions of Use as fees and charges apply
When you use your Good Card Visa Prepaid Card at participating merchants, you can earn cashbacks for you and your nominated charity or not for profit. The easiest way to find participating merchants and businesses that are close to you is by searching your postcode from The Good Find Page.
The Good Card Program is operated by The Good Card Pty Ltd, not the issuer of the Prepaid Card (Indue). Refer to www.thegoodcard.com.au/terms-conditions for information on The Good Card Program.
When you are in store you must swipe your card. You can also use your Visa Prepaid Card to shop online, and for phone and mail purchases. In some circumstances, you may be able to wave your card over a Visa payWave enabled terminal. See question 7 (Do I have to use a PIN when making a purchase at a merchant?) below.
No, you set your 4-digit PIN online at the time of activating your card – Refer to the Conditions of Use for further information.
YES, unless you make a purchase of under $100 at a Visa payWave participating merchant. In these circumstances, before authorising a Visa payWave transaction by waving your card over the merchant’s enabled Visa payWave terminal, you must check that the correct amount is displayed on the Visa payWave terminal. If your transaction exceeds $100.00, you will be required to enter your PIN.
NO. Your Good Card Visa Prepaid Card does not allow you to withdraw cash from either ATM’s or point-of-sale devices. Should you attempt to withdraw cash from an ATM or point-of-sale device you may incur an Invalid Transaction Fee, which will be deducted from your balance. Please refer to the Conditions of Use for further information.
Each time you use the Visa Prepaid Card to make a purchase, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your Card balance at the time the transaction is approved. If the transaction is declined the funds are not deducted as there is not enough balance to allow the transaction to be completed. In these circumstances, a Purchase Decline Fee may apply, which will be deducted from your balance. Please refer to the Conditions of Use for further information. You can check your balance online at www.thegoodcard.com.au all in real time.
Check the following:

  1. The payment network may be off-line. You may need to provide cash to complete your transaction or come back when the system is back on-line. You cannot use the prepaid card when the system is off-line.
  2. The prepaid card’s magnetic stripe / chip may be damaged. Contact The Good Card on 1300 10 30 79 to obtain a replacement card – refer to the Conditions of Use available at thegoodcard.com.au.
  3. There may be insufficient funds left on your Visa prepaid card for the transaction. Check the balance via the cardholder website or call The Good Card on 1300 10 30 79.
  4. The prepaid card has expired. Check the expiry date on the front of the card. Refer to the Conditions of Use for further information.
You can check the balance by logging into www.thegoodcard.com.au
Yes, these prepaid cards are reloadable. The total balance must not exceed $999 at any one time. Any attempted load that would take your card value over the $999 limit at any one time will be rejected in full.
You can load funds using electronic funds transfer through your Australian financial institution. To do this, use the BSB and account number that appears on the reverse side of your card. The name you supply must be the same name that you provided when you activated your card. Refer to the Conditions of Use as fees and charges may apply.
Yes, The Good Card Visa Prepaid Card will expire on the expiry date noted on the front of the card.
No, the prepaid card can be used until the balance reaches a nil value, no matter how small the balance and you can add value at any time. Refer to the Conditions of Use for further information.
Lost or stolen prepaid cards can be reported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the cardholder website at www.thegoodcard.com.au or you can call 1300 10 30 79. A replacement card may be organised. For further information refer to the Conditions of Use as fees and charges apply.
